What to expect

Your first appointment, step by step

Plan for about 60 minutes. You will leave knowing exactly where your oral health stands.

  1. Online forms

    After booking you receive a link to a short health and dental history form. Two minutes on your phone.

  2. Welcome & conversation

    We offer you a drink, then your dentist sits down with you to hear your goals and any worries.

  3. Complete exam

    Teeth, gums, bite and an oral cancer screening, plus low-dose X-rays and a 3D scan if needed.

  4. Your plan

    We show you the images, explain what we see and give you a written plan with prices and options.

  5. Cleaning or next steps

    If time allows, we start your cleaning the same day, or book it at a time that suits you.

Before you come

What to bring to your first visit

A few things help us make the most of your appointment. If you have recent X-rays from another clinic, ask them to email them to us and we will avoid taking new ones.

  • Photo ID and your dental insurance card
  • A list of medications, supplements and allergies
  • Recent X-rays or records from your previous dentist
  • Any questions you want to ask, big or small

The things people usually ask before their first visit.

How long is the first appointment?
About 60 minutes. If you would also like a cleaning on the same day, mention it when you book and we will reserve 90 minutes.
It has been years since my last visit. Will I be judged?
Never. Many of our patients come back after a long break. We focus on where you are now and the simplest way forward.
Can you get my records from my old dentist?
Yes. Give us their details on your intake form and we will request your X-rays and records for you.
Is the new patient exam covered by insurance?
Most plans cover an exam and routine X-rays. We check your coverage before your visit and bill your insurer directly.
